Lady Petra, a Heesen 47m displacement vessel, has won the extremely competitive award for Best Motor Yacht Displacement below 500m, over five of the best yachts in the world.
Her exterior lines were designed by the Dutch yacht designer Frank Laupman from Omega Architects, and the interiors, all Dutch industrial heritage inspired sophistication, are a creation of the award winning designers Bannenberg & Rowell, chosen by the owners.
Lady Petra's owners, Mr. and Mrs. Heesen, commented:"We are truly honored to have received this prestigious recognition for Lady Petra. My wife and I have built more than 150 yachts for many different clients and we had the chance to create our own dream yacht after we retired. We are grateful to all the people who have worked so strenuously to build this magnificent vessel: this award would have not been possible without their contribution."
Heesen's Lady Petra has an unusual and innovative layout. The Owner's suite is located on the Upper Deck affording extra privacy, with the space on the main deck forward used instead as a fantastic games room/cinema. A disabled access has also been built in, with lifts between decks and equipment allowing access to the Jacuzzi, and into the sea from the beach area.
