Heesen Yachts has pushed the boundaries of yachting technology again with its Amopre Mio sport yacht. Working in conjunction with Omega Architects, Heesen managed to build the largest, most powerful sport yacht produced by the Netherlands.
Amore Mio underwent sea trials in mid-January. In addition to the regular two days of testing, Heesen Yachts created a Captain’s Day that allowed the ship’s captain, Tripp Hock, to conduct additional trials for crash stops, single engine maneuvering, dead ship operations, and other technical concerns. Amore Mio passed all tests perfectly. Her twin MTU 16V diesel engines and all-aluminum design helped her reach an impressive top speed of 30 knots.
Amore Mio is designed to seek adventure. Traveling at 12 knots, she has a range of 2,750 nautical miles. That’s long enough for the owners to cross the Mediterranean or leisurely explore the Caribbean.
Heesen consistently stands out as one of the world’s finest yacht-builders. With Amore Mio, though, the company has outdone itself by creating one of the most impressive sports yachts in the world.
