Royal Huisman Begins Schooner Project

At the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show, Royal Huisman revealed an upcoming project that has been named Project 400. Since then, the yachting experts at Royal Huisman have leaked more information that shows how revolutionary this 81-meter schooner will be.

Royal Huisman has teamed with several experts to make this ambitious project a reality. Dykstra Naval Architects, interior designer Mark Whiteley, and Bart Kimman of Northrop & Johnson Asia have contributed essential elements that will bring this dream yacht to life.

Design renderings show that Project 400 is a three-masted performance schooner with enough interior space to accommodate 12 guests and 13 crew members. Little is known about the interior design, but Mark Whiteley says that working on the project is a very special experience.

Royal Huisman plans to build this large schooner at its shipyard in Vollenhove, Netherlands. It will be the biggest yacht built at the shipyard. In fact, Project 400 will be one of the 10 largest sailing yachts in the world.

Royal Huisman has scheduled delivery during 2020, so there is still plenty of time to learn more about this magnificent craft as the details are revealed.
