As yachting enthusiasts have been anticipating for quite some time, the superyacht Nautor’s Swan 98 is currently in the process of being constructed in Finland and is expected to be launched in the very near future. Keeping in line with what has earned the company a global reputation, the ship is one that Nautor’s Swan has proudly described as “30 meters of volume, contemporary elegance, and effortless performance.”
Despite the fact that the Swan 98 is notably shorter than many other superyachts she may be compared to, the designers—led by the highly experienced German Frers and interior designer Misa Poggi—sought to sacrifice absolutely nothing. The primary goals of the design team were to create a ship that focused on comfort, safety, reliability, and performance.
Based on the already established designs and what has been accomplished so far in the process, it seems that the team responsible for the Swan 98 has been able to successfully complete their mission. The team plans to release a series of Swan 98s over time, but assures future owners that “there is an extensive list of options that means no two Swan 98s will be the same, each is a semi-custom superyacht reflecting her owner’s unique style.”
In general, the team hopes to establish a sense of comfort and luxury through the inclusion of fine Italian textiles, leathers, bright woods, and other highly-valued sorts of materials. The standard Swan 98 will also feature 3 guest suites and offer the owner the choice to either have the owner’s suite in the front or the rear of the ship.
The deck of the Swan 98 will have ample room for seating and relaxing without appearing too cluttered or crowded. The primary purpose of the top deck is to allow those aboard to be as close to nature as they possibly can. Once you are able to watch the sunset and take in the sea breeze while moving swiftly across the ocean, you will realize why the Swan 98 is expected to be in relatively high demand.
In the effort to make sure that each new Swan 98 is entirely unique, the owners will have significant opportunities to offer their input throughout the entire design process. Having the option to determine the kinds of materials that will be used, the general layout of the interior, and which features will be specifically pronounced makes it possible for each new ship to effectively develop its own personality.
