Taking her place at the epitome of nautical trendsetting and packed with technological innovation, the Pershing 140 has been launched to widespread acclaim.
She ushers in a new era for the yacht builder's celebrated history with the launch taking place at Pershing's advanced Super Yacht Yard in Ancona, Italy.
The Pershing 140 is the eye-catching collaboration between the architect Fulvio De Simoni, the Ferretti Group's engineering department and their product strategy committee, led by engineer Piero Ferrari.
The new 140-footer (43.3 meters) is the first Pershing type to be built at the Ancona yard which has been specially created to realize mega-yachts above 40 meters in both aluminum and steel.
Pershing 140 blends novel design elements with iconic details
The Pershing 140's creators have developed an aggressive profile that blends its novel design elements with iconic details such as two lateral wings that are integrated into her superstructure and then connected at the start of the walkways to the gunwale.
However, one of the innovative features is the aft area layout which features a raised cockpit that becomes a mezzanine level. This offers a large sea-facing space that rises from the water to the sun deck and joins together the entire aft section.
There are also innovative and roomy relaxation spaces in the forward area too while the upper deck, which has been seamlessly integrated into the general profile, offers a spacious panoramic terrace which is furnished with freestanding pieces.
There are four suites designed for comfort and privacy, including two VIP rooms containing a king-size bed.
The Pershing 140 superyacht will head for Hong Kong where it will be officially presented to the public and which will be her final destination.
The Ferretti Group's chief executive, Alberto Galassi, said: "This new flagship embodies the highest expression of the 'Pershing thrill' and is a natural evolution of the brand's range with the Pershing 140 being an engineering masterpiece."
