The second Amels 180 launch of the year sees the striking superyacht Nomad take to the sea.
The Dutch boatbuilder announced the new 55-meter launch at its Vlissingen facility with news that another yacht from the Amels' Limited Editions range has been sold.
M/Y Nomad has a trademarked bespoke color scheme which was created by her owner along with Amels in-house team and exterior designer Tim Heywood.
The blue hull and anthracite grey superstructure help to create uninterrupted geometry to highlight 'the lines of the bridge and sun deck.'
California-based boutique Bonesteel Trout Hall developed the yacht's custom interiors.
Rutger Dolk, of Amels' commercial team, explained: "The owner and his family have been very involved in the custom exterior and interior design.
'Great compliment to our design and project teams.'
"Creating such a bespoke yachting experience while still offering delivery in less than a year is a great compliment to our design and project teams and demonstrates how well our Limited Editions approach works."
Capable of reaching a top speed of 15.5 knots, M/Y Nomad will be home to 13 crew members and offer guest accommodation for 12.
Standout features include the impressive 1,938 sq ft Sun Deck (180 square meters) and the Main Deck owner's suite features a folding balcony and there is a wide-body Bridge Deck sky lounge.
The Amels 180 has proven full displacement naval architecture with a large 671 Gross Tonnage volume offering strong and stable seakeeping behavior for impressive levels of comfort and global range.
The logical layout and properly-sized storage for equipment is a result of the larger volume which ensures there is no compromise for journeys requiring extended periods of full luxury service at sea.
After final outfitting at the yard, M/Y Nomad will be delivered to her owner.
