The incredible Bugatti Bolide is unveiled.
If you have ever dreamed of owning a superlight, superfast hypercar, then welcome to the Bugatti Bolide.
It weighs in at just 1,240kg, and its 8.0-liter engine delivers 1,850hp to propel the head-turner to 310mph. Yes, that’s 310mph for a track-focused car.
And to underpin the potential speed credentials, Bugatti says the Bolide’s top speed is ‘well above 500km/h’. That’s at least 310mph - but it could be a lot faster - perhaps even quicker than the Bugatti Chiron SS 300+’s top speed of 330mph.
0 to 62 mph sprint time in 2.1 seconds.
For those who like to crunch the numbers, the 0 to 62 mph sprint time will take just 2.1 seconds before racing up to 124 mph in just 4.3 seconds – and then onto its top speed in 20 hair-raising seconds.
This is Bugatti’s fastest, lightest, and most powerful ever creation - hence the name that incorporates the Latin word for ‘missile’, and the Italian word for ‘meteor’.
The stylish creation is Bugatti’s answer to the incredible Aston Martin Valkyrie and the Mercedes Project One to make a statement to car lovers everywhere.
However, this is not a ground-up creation – it has been put together with various mechanical parts from the Bugatti Chiron but with very little bodywork attached.
This means the spaceship-like creation has exposed carbon fiber parts, and the front and rear suspension set up is exposed - through this also helps with channeling air efficiently. For the W16 engine,
Bugatti has created a large roof scoop to feed the much-needed air into it for the scintillating levels of performance.
