A private launch for the brand-new ClubSwan 80 range will take place in La Spezia on the 23rd of June. This 80-foot yacht showcases Nautor's Swan's ability to provide various yachts based on values of style, speed, innovation, technology, and competitive sailing potential.
The launch of the ClubSwan 80 marks the completion of Nautor's Swan's ClubSwan Yachts range. This new model is fast, fun, and innovative and sits alongside the small, technologically advanced ClubSwan 36. The ClubSwan 80 shares some ease-of-handling features with the ClubSwan 36, including the advanced hull form, sail plan, and innovative underwater appendages. The ClubSwan 50 marked the start of a new era in One Design, and the new Super Maxi ClubSwan 125 proved fast and powerful by taking line honors at the Rolex Fastnet Race and Caribbean 600.

Nautor's Swan teamed up with its strategic partner Persico Marine to construct the ClubSwan 80. Persico Marine is an international shipyard renowned for its expertise in building high-performance yachts. The construction method for the entire yacht is the same as that used for the famous carbon "arm" on current America's Cup boats.
The use of advanced construction technologies and specific production processes designed specifically for one design yachts allows for the attainment of a rigid monotype, which is otherwise difficult to achieve with a Maxi yacht.
The launch of a new boat is always a significant moment. In the case of the ClubSwan 80, we are exceptionally honored by the trust placed in Persico Marine by the owner, a very experienced yachtsman, and Nautor's Swan. This boat is built to the same standards we use for America's Cup boats, and IMOCA 60s engaged in the most challenging ocean races such as The Ocean Race and Vendée Globe.
The ClubSwan 80 was designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian, the designer behind all ClubSwan Yacht projects. Juan K. stated, "The ClubSwan Yacht division is growing, and I am very excited about the arrival of this new family member. I'm sure she will make a difference in the racing landscape." He continued, "She is such an impressive boat, and I can't wait to see her on international race courses competing."
The CS80 yacht features a 4.75m canting keel, twin rudders, and a rotating canard to optimize its upwind performance and provide tactical advantages in tight fleet racing situations. These design choices give the yacht both lightness and power and the ability to navigate most Mediterranean harbors.
The bowsprit on this new performance boat is retractable for safety while sailing upwind and extends to hoist a spinnaker for downwind performance. Nautor's Swan, Juan Kouyoumdjian and Persico Marine chose Vittorio Volonté to manage the project, Giovanni Belgrano for the engineering, Scott Ferguson for the rig design, and Nauta Design for the interior. The team has worked diligently to make this new performance a reality.
The ClubSwan 80 will debut at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Italy, from September 4-10. It will then be available for viewing at the Worldwide Première at Monaco Yacht Show from the 28th to the 1st of October.
