Perini Navi Unveils Art Explorer, Its First Sailing Catamaran

Marina di Carrara, Italy - The Italian Sea Group has unveiled Art Explorer, the first sailing catamaran from the iconic Perini Navi brand. The 47-meter yacht is a groundbreaking vessel that sets new standards for luxury, performance, and sustainability.

Art Explorer was designed by Axel De Beaufort and features an all-carbon fiber hull and superstructure. The yacht is powered by a hybrid propulsion system that combines electric motors and diesel engines, making it one of the most environmentally friendly sailing yachts in the world.

The interior of Art Explorer is equally impressive. The yacht features five spacious cabins that can accommodate up to 12 guests, as well as a large salon, dining room, and sundeck. The yacht also has a dedicated art gallery that will be used to showcase works by emerging and established artists.

"Art Explorer is a true sailing museum," said Giovanni Costantino, Founder & CEO of The Italian Sea Group. "She is the first and only yacht of her kind, and she will travel the world to bring art experiences and environmental awareness to new audiences."

Art Explorer will be presented at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2023. After her debut, the yacht will embark on a two-year voyage around the world, visiting key cultural destinations and hosting a variety of art events.

The launch of Art Explorer is a major milestone for Perini Navi and The Italian Sea Group. The yacht is a testament to the company's commitment to innovation and sustainability, and it is sure to set a new standard for luxury sailing yachts.

In addition to Art Explorer, The Italian Sea Group is currently building three other Perini Navi yachts:

  • A 60-meter ketch with naval architecture by Ron Holland and exterior and interior design by French architect Rémi Tessier, due for delivery at the end of 2024.
  • A 56-meter ketch with naval architecture and exterior design by Malcolm McKeon and interior design by Winch Design, due for delivery in July 2025.
  • A 47-meter sloop, design by Centro Stile TISG, due for delivery in 2025.

These yachts are further proof of The Italian Sea Group's commitment to excellence and innovation. The company is well-positioned to continue its leadership in the luxury yacht market for many years to come.
