Discover Lürssen's 122m Kismet Superyacht – A Masterpiece of Luxury

Lürssen’s Kismet: Redefining the Art of Luxury Yachting

It is said that there are no second chances in the making of a first impression. Lürssen’s 122-meter megayacht Kismet fully embraces that philosophy, indelibly imprinting her message on all who drink in her sumptuous visual details. That message? Kismet is a nonesuch in the world of luxury.

Collecting studied gazes from observers along her route, Kismet displays the cool composure that accompanies apex status. From central London’s Tilbury Docks to Monaco’s Port Hercules, and downtown Jacksonville’s St. John’s River, Kismet’s jackstaff jaguar points the way for her elegant profile as she turns heads, left and right.

The poetry of Kismet’s lines reflects the strength and fluidity of Nuvolari Lenard DNA, the team responsible for Kismet’s exterior design. Curated interiors from the virtuoso team at Reymond Langton bring warmth and beauty to Kismet’s extraordinary scope and volume.

Lürssen’s peerless team of 600 top-tier maritime engineers, R & D, and technology disciplines deliver Kismet’s meticulously executed complexities, effortlessly and confidently.

As a preface to revealing Kismet’s many features, Managing Partner Peter Lürssen expressed, “We are very proud of Kismet as yet another statement of Lürssen’s ability and desire to build yachts that meet all of our exacting Owners’ requirements, guided by our core focus of expert engineering, beautiful design and being at the forefront in developing sustainable technologies.”

Kismet By The Numbers

Kismet’s elongated bow steel hull measures 122.00 meters, owning a waterline of 98.89 meters, a beam of 17.00 meters, and a draft of 4.40 meters. Her aluminum superstructure wraps 16 guests in eight cabins, served by 37 crew in 19 cabins. On this luxurious yacht, even crew areas are thoughtfully designed to house all in comfort, with generous appointments embracing a top-of-class crew mess and galley.

The yacht features a Diesel-Electric Hybrid Propulsion Concept developed by Lürssen’s own engineering specialists. It is a newly developed technology by Lürssen engineering specialists, combining diesel propulsion with modern electric propulsion systems.

The two 2 MTU 20V 4000 M73L diesel engines drive the two controllable pitch propellers via individual gearboxes equipped with PTI/PTO units that offer slow speed diesel-electric propulsion or the option to generate electrical energy for higher speed operation. Propulsion and steering are handled by two Reintjes hybrid gear boxes, two Schaffran controllable pitch propellers, two Kongsberg steering gears and two Becker Marine Systems high lift rudders. Six Corvus Orca energy packs provide 474 kWh total energy storage. Kismet cruises at speeds up to 18 knots on diesel, with a 6,000 nautical mile range at 12 knots.

Kismet can silently cruise solely on electrical power for 15 minutes, enabling her to exit a marina in silence or access sea preserves and sensitive locations without diesel emissions. She is built to expand that time frame as technology advances. The yacht is fitted with a heat recovery system that warms pool water, and a dynamic positioning system that allows anchorage in sensitive, remote destinations.

Kismet carries a bevy of tenders stored forward on the main deck. An 11.4-meter Hodgdon limo tender, a 16 passenger 11.3-meter Naiad RIB tender, an 8.24-meter Riva 27 Iseo runabout tender, and a 6.33-meter Fassmer rescue boat fill every need for ship-to-shore and water play days. Water sports equipment includes jet skis, seabobs, e-foils, a slide and large floating platform, and full dive storage room.

Each deck promotes its own distinctive design journey. From Le Roi Soleil Louis XIV fêtes in the Gallery des Glasses, to the art deco roaring twenties Hollywood matinee theatre, additional themes embrace Roman, Versailles, and Nikki Beach experiences.

A host of remarkable amenities on board include a large swimming pool, two spa pools, Technogym, full-service wellness spa with cryotherapy room and chromatherapy tub, and Nemo cinema lounge. A wild walk through the glassed-in TRON corridor passage through the engine room delights guests as they observe the yacht’s machinery. Accented with blue and white LED strip lighting displays of technical data over a black leather and marble backdrop, TRON turns the spotlight on an area of the yacht that is rarely highlighted.

Exploring Kismet’s Luxurious Top Deck

At the very top, a highly styled mast, with curves and piping in glossy black and chrome, leaves no question about Kismet’s identity. Harkening back to the steamship days when each line had a distinctive shape and color, Kismet’s mast quickly provides an ID. Carefully designed to carry exhaust away from the yacht, doing so in an effective, unobtrusive, and artistic arrangement, the mast has become more than just a required mechanical element.

Just below the mast, the top deck defines itself as a treasured getaway. A forward Jacuzzi tub is surrounded by sunbeds, inviting guests for a sunny dip or a stargazing repose. Directly beneath the mast, a stone dining table set for 14 guests is served by a bar, beer fridge, gas-fired pizza oven, three flat screens, and a day head, providing a well-provisioned gathering spot. At the top of the stairway leading to this heaven, a DJ station is perfectly placed beneath the round overhang, delighting guests below.
