Heesen Yachts has launched YN 20655, now officially named Solemates. Previously known as Project Venus, this 55-metre steel yacht reflects precision in design and a tailored approach to luxury yachting.
Representing the owners, Rupert Connor from Luxury Yachts highlighted the decision to return to Heesen for this project. He noted the shipyard's dedication to quality and collaboration, ensuring that Solemates meets the owner's vision. The construction process involved a close partnership with Heesen's project team, who welcomed requests and adjustments throughout.
Solemates will soon enter the commissioning phase before embarking on sea trials in the North Sea. The yacht is crafted with a focus on family-oriented living, offering a setting designed for shared experiences on the water.
The yacht's interior takes shape under the expertise of Heesen’s interior engineers, working alongside Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture. A blend of lime greens, teal, and baby aqua blue adds vibrancy to the spaces, reflecting a lively yet refined ambiance suited for family gatherings.
One of the standout features aboard Solemates is the reimagined main staircase, which incorporates acrylic panels with gold flakes and crystals, introducing a striking visual element. Additional enhancements include a bridge deck salon designed for social interactions and an expanded sundeck featuring a jacuzzi and bar, offering a space for relaxation with ocean views.
Throughout the design, Heesen’s project team has introduced thoughtful enhancements to align with the owner's preferences. The layout prioritises leisure and entertainment while ensuring an inviting atmosphere for guests of all ages.
Heesen Yachts CEO, Niels Vaessen, shared his enthusiasm for the launch, underlining the shipyard’s focus on achieving excellence with Solemates. The yacht will make its first public appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show in September, followed by the Palm Beach International Boat Show. Delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025, marking another milestone in Heesen’s portfolio of luxury superyachts.
