Benetti Design Team

Description

Benetti was founded in 1873 by Lorenzo Benetti. The Italian company started building wooden boats that were principally used for local and international trade. After Lorenzo's death, his two sons Gino and Emilio were left in charge of the boatyard. They decided to change the company's name to Fratelli Benetti and became world famous really fast. After the Second World war, Benneti broadened its design practices and started producing ships made from steel for personal use. In the early 1960s, the shipyard made its first luxury superyacht.
