German shipbuilding titan, Lürssen, has once again pushed the boundaries of yacht design and engineering with its latest delivery, NORN. This remarkable 90-meter superyacht embarked on her maiden voyage on April 29, 2023, after a successful construction period under the watchful eye of Cornelsen & Partner as the Project Manager.
NORN, previously known as Project 1601, was commissioned by a seasoned owning couple who had enjoyed the luxury and performance of their 70-meter Lürssen yacht for over two decades. With their desire for unparalleled design, engineering, and comfort for their family, they turned to renowned yacht designer Espen Oeino for the exterior. Oeino delivered a masterpiece that features flat surfaces, straight lines, and angular corners, exuding a sense of geometrical precision that is evident in every aspect of the yacht.
The vessel's interior, designed by Dölker + Voges, complements the crispness of the exterior styling, reflecting the same design themes throughout. In line with the Lürssen tradition, NORN is outfitted with state-of-the-art technology and engineering systems. Among the standout features are zero-speed stabilizers, an outdoor cinema, and a liftable pool floor with dance floor illumination.
In addition, NORN is equipped with a dynamic positioning system that allows for electronic anchoring in sensitive and remote locations. This innovative feature safeguards the seabed while providing secure mooring, regardless of water depth.
