Heesen Yachts recently announced that it has launched its largest vessel to date, a 70-meter motoryacht the company built under the name Project Kometa. Upon receiving the yacht, the owners chose to christen it Galactica Super Nova.
Galactica Super Nova is more than just Heesen’s largest yacht. She’s one of the largest 200 yachts in the world. With an ability to reach a top speed exceeding 30 knots, she’s also one of the fastest 70-meter yachts in the world.
Heesen integrated some of the latest technology into Galactica Super Nova. Her fast displacement hull form (FDHF), a concept developed by Van Oossanen that reduces the amount of drag that slows vessels.
Galactica Super Nova is also full of luxury features, including a 13,500-liter swimming pool, beach club, touch-and-go helipad, and a waterfall that adds beauty and relaxation to every excursion. The interior benefits from a combination of leather, steel, nickel, chrome, and wood that simultaneously gives the yacht a classic and relaxed atmosphere. The luxury extends to the exterior, which was created by renowned designer Espen Øino.
Galactica Super Nova will make an appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show after traveling through the Mediterranean.
