Feadship 35m Letani

Feadship Letani Proves to be an Absolute Masterpiece

One of the things it seems makes the yachting industry so brilliantly unique is the commitment of many shipbuilders to be continuously pursuing perfection. The world’s greatest design teams are the ones who are willing to take chances, pay attention to the smallest details, and continue thinking of new ways to improve.

From the moments you lay eyes upon her, you can immediately tell that Letani is a yacht that hopes to make a statement. Her innovative design scheme and her artistic devotion to aesthetics make her an absolute masterpiece that any yacht owner ought to be proud to show off the world.

Letani is not a yacht you would ever want to leave sitting in the harbor for very long. She is a beautiful work of art that yearns to be seen by all who respect the elegant craft that created her. She was built to see the world and, it seems, the world could not possibly be more blessed to have her as a guest.

Because Letani was constructed with an intention to explore the Far East, the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, The Indian Ocean, and elsewhere, her features are made to adapt to all sorts of different climates. Though she may only be 35 meters long, the design team sought to include elements of both luxury and minimalism. Both her indoor and outdoor spaces are elegantly furnished and intelligently put to good use. As you stand upon her upper deck, your favorite drink in hand, the sun will begin to set, and you will realize you are home.

Intelligent, adaptive design

Letani is a yacht that was designed by the well-reputed Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects and though she was certainly designed to explore the world, she exhibits numerous characteristics that are distinctively Dutch. The exterior design has a recognizably post-modern flavor that challenges old-fashioned shipbuilding techniques in favor of something distinctively different. Yet, even though the uniqueness of her style is abundantly apparent, she demonstrates the commitment to form and detail that many Dutch shipbuilders have been known for around the world.

Despite the design team’s respectable obsession with aesthetics and her apparent geometric distinctiveness, Letani is still capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots. The main (2) engines are MTU 16V2000M93, which are excellent engines for relatively long-distance journeys. Letani is capable of travelling up to 3,200 nautical miles—a range demonstrating the ability to potentially cross the Atlantic Ocean.

Letani has a fuel capacity of 25,400 liters and a fresh water capacity of 5,800 liters. Both of these figures are rather impressive considering she is only 35 meters in length. Other figures to take note of include the beam height of 7.9 meters and the (loaded) draught of 1.8 meters. When examining Letani’s overall design scheme, it is obvious that neither engineering nor artistic excellence needed to be sacrificed in the course of her creation.
