AMELS 57.7m Volpini Successfully Delivered

On July 5th, the famous Dutch shipbuilder AMELS was proud to announce the successful delivery of the 57.7-meter Volpini. This beautiful work of art was built in accordance with the owner’s specific requests and is ready to begin her journeys exploring the Mediterranean Sea.

One of the reasons that this project has generated so much excitement is the fact that it is the first AMELS 188 design—one they hope to eventually produce more of. The yacht has a beautiful and sleek architecture characterized by ample window space and a variety of luxury amenities.

The design team included exterior designer Tim Heywood, interior designer Reymond Langton, and a group of hardworking representatives able to communicate the owner’s requests. Design manager Hans Konings described the ship as “an important milestone for AMELS.” When taking a look at the ship’s overall appearance, it becomes immediately apparent that the team was simultaneously able to adhere to some traditions in yachting while also developing a unique approach to 188s of their own.

The highlights of the ship include a folding balcony—which is incorporated into the already luxurious owner’s suite—six additional suites for guests, a sun deck, sky lounge, a well-equipped wellness area, and a fabulous beach club. The architecture is incredibly well-designed and makes it possible for guests to easily from one part of the ship to the others with ease.

Overall, Volpini has clearly demonstrated that AMELS entry into the world of 188s is one that has given the yachting world a lot to be excited about. As she continues to enjoy the Mediterranean sunshine, it is clear that both the owners and the design team certainly have a lot to be proud of.
