The Lamborghini brand has stood for excellence in technology and style for over half a century, yet each year it manages to push itself toward higher goals. The Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is a terrific example of this. It mixes craftsmanship and engineering in a way that few cars can even dream of. This year, we got to learn that the Aventador LP 750-4 SP not only looks good on paper. It also looks and feels ahead of its time on the road.
Performance That Exceeds What You Expect From Lamborghini
As with any car, it makes sense to take a close look under the hood. Lamborghini has given the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce a V12 engine that churns out an amazing 750 horsepower (552 kW). That’s enough power to launch this beautiful car from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a mere 2.8 seconds. As the naturally aspirated engine continues to work its hardest, the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce can exceed 350 km/h (217 mph). This makes it the fastest car in Lamborghini’s lineup.
Lower Weight Equals Faster Speeds
While this Lamborghini gets its power from the V12 engine, its high speed also comes from careful design. The company’s engineers obviously pored over every detail to find ways they could lighten the car. As any car enthusiast knows, a lighter car equals a faster car.
On the exterior, Lamborghini reduced weight with a carbon fiber body. The door panels, rockers, fenders, and several other components were completely redesigned to make them as light as possible. Lamborghini even developed a new rear wing and fixed air intakes made of carbon fiber.
The designers also took a new approach to Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce’s interior. Every feature from the infotainment system to the sport bucket seats were scrutinized and made as light as possible.
