Viareggio – In a milestone event for Benetti, the celebrated Italian yacht builder has launched M/Y Juno’s 7, the first unit in its new Class 44M series. This fiberglass flagship, designed by Cassetta Yacht Designers in collaboration with Benetti’s in-house architects, represents a modern evolution of the brand’s storied heritage.
A Modern Vision Rooted in Timeless Craftsmanship
Benetti’s commitment to blending tradition with innovation is evident throughout M/Y Juno’s 7. Daniela Petrozzi, Benetti’s Sales Director, hailed the launch as “an important moment for Benetti,” underscoring the yacht’s embodiment of the shipyard’s excellence, craftsmanship, and forward-thinking design principles.
Cassetta Yacht Designers have masterfully reinterpreted Benetti’s hallmark aesthetic, creating a vessel defined by informal elegance. The design prioritizes relaxing, natural settings that balance luxury with comfort. From expansive transparent surfaces that maximize natural light to innovative material choices that exude understated sophistication, every detail has been meticulously curated to ensure an effortless and serene onboard experience.
Elevated Interior Design: Where Nature Meets Innovation
The interiors of M/Y Juno’s 7 stand out for their thoughtful use of sustainable and tactile materials. FSC-certified woods take center stage, with antique elm featured in the flooring across all decks. The planks retain their natural knots and varying widths, emphasizing the material's organic beauty while minimizing waste. Meanwhile, striped ash was carefully selected for the walls to achieve the ideal pattern and tone, enhancing the yacht’s harmonious ambiance.
Bathrooms depart from traditional marble finishes, opting instead for trowelled resin surfaces. Marble is reserved for select features, such as the owner’s bathroom basins and the dayhead on the Main Deck. These choices create a more informal yet luxurious feel, aligning perfectly with the yacht’s vision of relaxed sophistication.
Intelligent Layout Designed for Privacy and Comfort
The 44-meter yacht spans four meticulously planned decks, offering the ultimate in comfort, privacy, and functionality for long-distance cruising:
- Main Deck: The centerpiece is the owner’s cabin, which is complemented by a spacious lounge with expansive water views, a galley, and a day head.
- Upper Deck: Featuring the helm station and an indoor lounge that seamlessly flows into an outdoor living area. Owners also have the option to add a VIP cabin, providing added flexibility.
- Sun Deck: A remarkable 102 square meters of open space, perfect for entertaining, relaxing, or enjoying panoramic views.
- Lower Deck: Accommodates four guest cabins and a dedicated crew area.
The beach club, situated at the water’s edge, is a standout feature. Versatile and visually striking, it offers guests a unique connection to the sea. A port-side garage enhances functionality, housing tenders and toys without intruding on guest spaces.
Superior Engineering and Sustainability
M/Y Juno’s 7 isn’t just a triumph of design—it also sets new benchmarks for performance and environmental consideration. Powered by twin MAN engines rated at 1,400 HP, the yacht achieves a top speed of 15 knots and an impressive range of 4,100 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots.
State-of-the-art soundproofing ensures a tranquil onboard experience. Floating floors, sound-dampening bulkheads, and flexible transmission couplings leverage megayacht-level technology to keep noise at bay. Meanwhile, the high-efficiency air-conditioning system cycles air six times per hour, promoting optimal comfort for guests and crew alike.
As the flagship of Benetti’s Class series, M/Y Juno’s 7 embodies the shipyard’s dedication to crafting innovative and timeless yachts. The Class 44M series reflects Benetti’s ability to evolve its iconic DNA while maintaining a strong connection to its heritage.
