Monaco – The new wallywind110, the first model in the Wallywind performance cruiser range, made its debut on June 1st, 2024. This launch comes just over a year after the introduction of the wally101 Full Custom, marking a significant milestone for Wally. The Wallywind range, which began its journey in 2022, will also include the wallywind130 and wallywind150 models. A second wallywind110 is already under construction.
Stefano de Vivo, Wally's Managing Director, expressed the importance of this launch. "The launch of this first semi-custom sail model since Wally became part of the Ferretti Group in 2019 is a very significant moment for us," de Vivo said. "Not only does it coincide with the brand’s 30th anniversary, but it also once again confirms how relevant the sailing superyacht sector is for Wally. We have always been leaders in this segment, and we aim to continue anticipating market trends by creating yachts capable of becoming true benchmarks in both yachting and design."
The launch event was a celebration, attended by Wally and Ferretti Group management, the entire project team, and their families. The attendees admired the wallywind110's all-carbon hull, which features bright metallic paint with blue reflections. Designed by judel/vrolijk & co, the paint shifts tone with the changing light, adding a touch of elegance to the superyacht.
The unique deck layout of the wallywind110 is a result of collaboration between Wally’s internal design team and the Santa Maria Magnolfi studio. Wally Founder and Chief Designer Luca Bassani highlighted the yacht's impressive design and performance. "Wally has always been synonymous with both performance and design. The thoughtful study of the wallywind110’s deck spaces has resulted in an 80 square meter cockpit, free of technical equipment (relocated to the stern), comparable to that of a sailing superyacht at least 60 meters long. The owner and their guests can relax on sofas, sunbeds, and seating. Not to mention the other two lounge areas located on the ‘sea terrace’ at the stern and on the foredeck."
The wallywind110 promises not only impressive performance but also a high level of comfort and elegance, continuing Wally’s tradition of innovation and excellence in the sailing superyacht sector.
