At Seattle, Delta Marine has proudly announced the release of the recent 66-meter yacht, named after the Latin for "unconquerable", INVICTUS. Delta has delivered their latest invention, baptized INVICTUS, to her new Owners who can now enjoy the mega yacht together with their friends and family. The 66m superyacht is impressive in size, elegant, stylish and contemporary. At over 1900 gross IRC and with a 43' beam, INVICTUS is a masterwork which combines luxury and splendor with comfort, hospitality and warmth.
Diane Johnson was in charge of designing the interior of the deluxe yacht in collaboration with Mulder Architecture. Together they incorporate both traditional and modern influences to create a cool sophistication that is still warm and welcoming. INVICTUS has an astonishing beam and expansive volume which allows her interiors cabinet high ceiling and spacious rooms emphasized by floor-to-ceiling hull side windows that bring the outside in. The classical, clean and timeless vision and tastes of the Owners have been brought to life through a truly personalized and routine yacht building.
The Delta Design Group is responsible for the naval architecture and exterior styling. Outdoor spaces and decks of the 66m INVICTUS are also amazing and breathtaking. They have the same style and greatness of the interior. Decks flow charmingly from the fold-down beach cabana at the stern to the sundeck which is completed with a hot tub and a bar. There are also numerous areas for dining, lounging and gathering for cocktails. A stunning table made of ebony and stainless steel, and superb oval polished stainless handrails are also part of the external designs. The silhouette of INVICTUS is built by elegant lines, accelerating curves and sculptural shapes.
INVICTUS has an ice-strengthened steel hull with composite structure. Delta has incorporated composite materials, steel and aluminum into the construction allowing the best and finest material to be chosen for each application. This innovative construction is more efficient and facilitates the designers to achieve the high-ceiling and expansive windows that the Owners desired. Powered by twin Caterpillar 3516 main engines and carrying over 50,000 gallons of fuel, the yacht has a 6,000 nautical mile range at 12 knots and a maximum speed of 17 knots. Quantum Zero Speed stabilizers and a Schottel bow thruster guarantee maneuverability and a pleasant ride.
Delta is the world leader in composite yacht construction, pioneering the use of composite superstructures on metal hulled yachts. This newest 66-meter craft is a harmonious mix of new and old, intimate but elegant, familiar yet completely original. INVICTUS has grand spaces and luxurious foyers which fuse with intimate lounges. In the main salon, a grand piano rests amongst a mixture of furniture which is ideal for small and large meetings. On a separate deck, the dining salon is framed by curved sliding glass doors with an expandable table. Hallmarks include diverse combinations of exotic wood species with elaborate veneer patterns, an attractive use of rare Italian marbles researched by the interior design team in Florence.
