Just yesterday on the 24th of September, in this year's Monaco Yacht Show edition, Alice Huisman and Ed Dubois officially revealed its 58m Dubois Sloop: an incredible sailing yacht that can only be described as an edgy and innovative weapon; fast and furious. According to Royal Huisman the beast will be unleash in the spring of 2017.
Its design is new in every sense as the sheer line and the sculpted bow offer innovative lines. Besides, a moulded glass superstructure and a crisp stern shape add even further to the look; the whole project is an inherently progressive design.
Rick Baker and Tom Morgan are responsible for the interior design, complemented with signature furniture pieces by Francis Sultana. The eclectic yet relaxing accommodations will include a gym with a large viewing hatch in the hull to admit fresh air and natural light. It also comprises a sauna for guests to relax and have a nice time on board. A study/library may let guests or the owner to work on long trips. With two guest staterooms and a large open main deck salon with attached outdoor seatings is perfect to invite friends and for socializing.
Accent pieces and exotic finishes will be created in the workshop of Rick Baker. On another level, the Light Corporation was asked to artfully shed light on the project and let this beast may be as well beautiful.
According to Ed Dubois this is some yacht, inspired by a client looking for the next new thing; a dream project for both designers and shipyard. A great client, a great design team and a great project.
