Heesen Yachts announced yesterday, March 3, that it delivered the new 47-meter motor yacht, Asya, to her owners. Heesen launched Asya in December and conducted sea trials in the North Sea in mid-Febraury. Now that Heesen has completed Asya's initial voyage, her owners can begin exploring the world in luxury.
Asya is a restyled, fully customized version of a an earlier Heesen yacht with an exterior design by Frank Laupman at Omega Architects. Asya includes several improvements over the original. Asya has smoother, cleaner lines; an enclosed bay that holds the rescue tender; and updated accommodations for the crew.
Heesen has spent several years adding custom elements to its successful platform. This approach means that each yacht released by the company has improvements over earlier projects. It also means that Heesen can build excellent motor yachts in just 24 months, as it did with Asya.
Now that Heesen has delivered Asya to her owners, the real adventure can begin.
