2019 is reaching its end and, with that, it becomes time for contemplation and meditation. At NAVIS, we take one day every year to dedicate to ourselves to reflect on the best experiences enjoyed during the past year. On our many trips around the world, we have discovered remarkable objects that only exceptional designers and craftspersons can create. Our 2019 selection is drawn from a host of products and experiences we have had the pleasure to sample over this year, in addition to those recommended by ongoing contributors and some of our most valued subscribers, yes, mega-yacht owners, just like yourself.
On the following pages, you will find only the most exceptional products and places we are sure you will treasure, share and enjoy with your loved ones.
Fine Jewelry
Boucheron Plume de Paon Collection
The peacock feather, one of nature’s most beautiful creations, has inspired painters and poets over the millennia…and, jewelers. From the inimitable house of Boucheron, the exquisite Plume de Paon collection, where the majesty of the peacock feather is replicated in diamonds delicately set in your choice of either white or yellow gold. Some pieces are enhanced with regal emeralds or the very warm accents of peachy-pink Morganite that cast a beautiful glow on every face, particularly along the gentle outer curve of your lover’s ear (or your own, if you are just browsing for yourself).
Timepieces
Bovet Fleurier 19thirty
This year’s incarnation of the 2015 model represents contemporary watchmaking at its very finest, although traditional elements from grander epochs certainly abound here: a Crown and Bow at the 12 position, harkening back to the days when pocket watches were an essential part of a gentlemen’s life. There is also the more symmetrical Dimier line with the crown positioned at 3 and regular lugs, although that model is also anything but standard. Both the Fleurier and Dimier lines are painstakingly crafted from steel, which is harder to work with than gold, particularly for the intricate designs. Faces are available in black, sapphire, or ivory with Roman, Arabic, or Chinese numerals. This manual-winding watch boasts a 7-day power reserve and bespeaks elegance, confidence and power.
Eberhard & Co. Chrono 4 130 Édition Limitée
A re-imagining of Eberhard & Co.’s celebrated 130th-anniversary model from 2017, this extremely limited-edition version (only 130 pieces) is an instant classic. Decisively bold, clean strong lines dominate the case of satin and polished stainless steel with rubberized alligator strap (or a stainless steel link band and patented clasp, if you prefer). Four aligned counters (instead of the usual 3, 6, and 9 positions) bring serenity to the face and dial is skeletonized and available in either stainless or with black cut-out dagger shapes.
Giberg Alagaro
We are in love with this exceptionally distinctive all-black timepiece that makes quite a statement. It is definitely “not a watch for the average” as Giberg describes it and when you see it and slip it on your wrist, you’ll understand why. Sleek and more than a bit sexy, this watch commands attention with its black PVD coated white gold ceramic case, ringed by 81 black diamonds. Giberg’s proprietary Flying Tourbillon movement ensures powerful, precision timekeeping. From every angle, it’s a sure winner.
Interior Furnishings
Rolls-Royce Champagne Chest
Something everyone can use and we will hazard a guess that you didn’t know you even needed it. Taking you gracefully from “Terrace to Super-Yacht” as Rolls aptly puts it, this case pairs thoughtful, innovative design with the obvious quality craftsmanship of the legendary auto-maker, transforming -- as if by magic --
from a slim, non-descript case into the ultimate champagne service for 4, handblown crystal flutes with aluminum stems, trays for canapes and caviar and mother-of-pearl caviar spoons as well. Beyond the holidays, this multi-tasker does multi-duty as the perfect multi-tasker poolside, on deck, or in your car.
Bentley Home Furniture Collection
The three new pieces in the Home collection are inspired by the brand’s dedication to design, the highest quality materials and the manufacturing execution. These extraordinary limited edition pieces comprise a desk, an armchair, and a matching footstool and pay homage to the values embodied at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe. Innovative designs echo Bentley’s vision fo the future and modern materials ensure this outstanding selection of contemporary home furniture complements global lifestyles and interior tastes.

Rugged hand and shoulder straps with lots of padding make boarding and stowing (on the jet or the yacht) a breeze. The reinforced bottom eliminates shifting. This version comes in 2 bold colors that can be easily spotted from a distance or, of course, a non-descript black.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan
Named for the largest rough-cut diamond ever found, the Cullinan, Rolls-Royce’s first SUV, is an all-terrain game-changer, allowing drivers and passengers to luxuriate in both comfort, style and performance, no matter where the road leads. But hardly a diamond in the rough, the Cullinan’s thoughtful design, including self-leveling air suspension (via a road-scanning camera) and five-link rear axle and double-wishbone front axle, make for supreme comfort on any driving surface. Its twin-turbo 6.7 V12 engine (which, at 563 hp, reaches 0-to-60 in 4.8 seconds) barely registers interior noise over a murmur, which is impressive given its considerable size. The interior is everything you’d expect from the Rolls-Royce brand: the finest leather upholstery, lambswool carpeting, burl wood moldings, brushed aluminum trim and, of course, fully customizable. You would expect no less.
