Yacht builders Amels and Damen Yachting have unveiled plans for what will be the largest ever superyacht built in the Netherlands.
The 120m Project Signature is the creation of award-winning designer Espen Øino.
Imperial, the Monaco-based representative of the owner, will supervise the yacht building process.
Imperial director, Julia Stewart, said: "This day is a special one for Imperial - we confirm our leadership in the 100m+ superyachts new construction range. With this dream team at the helm, Project Signature will be the most striking, silent and advanced superyacht ever delivered and we look forward to commence."
Imperial also points out that Project Signature will be setting new standards for the 100m+ yachting world and will be delivered in 2025. Imperial says the project is a 'revolutionary vision' for the yachting industry and will be an ecological superyacht that is technically advanced. She will be powered by diesel-electric engines and Azipod electric propulsion.
Rose Damen, managing director of Amels and Damen Yachting, said: "We are extremely honored to be selected for this major 120-metre superyacht project. "We have an excellent team on this project. Everyone involved is very excited and looking forward to delivering the very best vessel for the owner."
The finished result will see the superyacht providing her guests with the lowest level of vibration or noise ever experienced for a yacht of this size.
Imperial says she is expected to be, in terms of outfitting and engineering, a 'yachting masterpiece'.
Designer Espen Øino said: "Our team has worked tirelessly to create a yacht with a unique layout and a timeless external appearance, blending edgy design with elegant curves."
This is the latest collaboration between Amels and Damen Yachting, and Imperial - they have delivered eight superyachts successfully since 2009. This ninth collaboration will be the largest vessel that has ever been constructed by Amels and Damen Yachting.
