The third hull in Tankoa Yachts’ all-aluminum series, the Olokun, has been launched at their yard in Genoa.
The stylish 50-meter motor yacht has a distinctive black hull with a metallic grey superstructure that has been designed by Francesco Paszkowski.
The interior has been designed by the US-based studio, Casadio Miami/London.
The chief executive of Tankoa Yachts, Vincenzo Poerio, said: "Hull number three was started on spec with the owner coming to the project quite late.
‘Maximum flexibility to tailor the yacht’
"But as a boutique shipyard, we offered him maximum flexibility to tailor the yacht to his personal needs.
"A good example is the second cabin on the main deck is connected to his own suite. It meant cutting a hole in the bulkhead and re-routing the wiring so his private office can be converted into a cabin."
The Olokun has conventional diesel propulsion and a semi-displacement hull.
Her top speed is 17.5 knots, and her cruising speed is 14 knots.
The owner's suite is on the forward main deck and features fold-down terraces.
Private study created by the boutique yard
The private study created by the boutique yard in the forward master stateroom can easily be converted in an additional en-suite cabin when required.
The yacht also has a beach club and, in the stern, there is a side-loading tender garage.
The main deck aft has been given over to a large lounge for relaxing and the upper deck is home to the dining room.
Her dark hull has been painted with high-performance coatings at the owner's request to reduce the metal's temperature by up to 10°C - to help avoid the hull from overheating in the sun's rays.
Olokun has undergone sea trials
The Olokun has undergone extensive sea trials and has now been handed over to her owner.
Mr. Poerio added: "We wanted to deliver a finished product that surpasses expectations, and the end result is spectacular."
