The 70-meter Ice-Class superyacht Polaris has been launched by the Italian boatbuilder Rossinavi.
She is the largest yacht to be created by the boatbuilder and has been designed to navigate extreme ice conditions - including polar areas.
She was known previously as Project King Shark and has been designed to sail from sub-zero weather conditions to the Caribbean's warm waters.
The 1,542GT yacht has an emphasis on an exclusive yachting lifestyle.
Exterior design and stylish interior
Her exterior design and stylish interior is the work of Enrico Gobbi from the Venice-based architecture practice Team for Design and was created to meet the owner’s own personal tastes.
He said: “The neat and elegant shapes of the yacht are underlined by long, continuous black window surfaces with curved details that soften up and characterize the overall cleanness of the superstructure.
“Our aim was to open up the interiors towards the exterior, ensuring an ongoing view of the sea through the decks. This was achieved not by creating huge invasive openings but instead designing refined, long and slender windows.”
The unusual aspect to the Polaris is that motor yachts designed for exploring polar regions tend not to have a sophisticated design - or comfort levels.
Create a superyacht capable of exploring
The aim of the project was to create a superyacht capable of exploring exciting and natural environments without sacrificing comfort.
Among her design features is a private terrace that has a waterfall to bring Zen vibes, with another waterfall flowing into the main salon over a back-lit onyx wall.
The main deck has a 6-meter long infinity pool with a Whirlpool system.
There's also enough space for two tenders and six jet skis - plus a 10-meter limousine tender built by Rossinavi.
Wellness center features a sauna
The owner and guests can also enjoy a soundproof cinema on the main deck and the wellness center features a sauna, a fully equipped gym, a massage room and yoga area.
The interior design ideas that include adding loose furniture, prestigious textiles and precious coating materials.
The result is a stylish superyacht with a distinctive and luxurious interior to welcome guests.
The Polaris is also capable of 'dynamic anchoring' when needed - even in extreme weather conditions.
