Initiated and co-organised by Fabulous Yachts with the patronage of P&O Marinas, the Superyacht Summit is to be held in the UAE. Since its launch in 2018, the summit has gained international attention from the yachting community. This year’s auspicious event will be held in collaboration with Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism and the Dubai Maritime City Authority aboard Queen Elizabeth II at the Mina Rashid Marina.
This year’s highly-anticipated event will focus on developing Dubai and the UAE as a winter destination for superyachts and promote a collaborative approach with the industry throughout the region.
Dubai has attractive and competitive advantages as a superyacht destination with ample berth spaces, excellent support facilities, and a strategic location that benefits from a stunning coastline.
Hamza Mustafa, CEO, P&O Marinas, is confident of Dubai’s ability to provide service excellence to yacht owners “Our assemblage of marinas is one of the most comprehensive in the Middle East, with a total capacity of 1,200 wet berths, 600 dry berths, and an ability to accommodate 60 superyachts ranging between 25m and 160m. In addition to this, we are continually working to ensure that the Emirate remains the epicenter for yacht and superyacht owners.”
The Superyacht Summit 2021 will highlight other key areas of focus:
- Superyacht marina developments and their impact on lifestyle and tourism
And,
- Emerging trends in superyacht ownership and catering to the needs of younger yacht owners.
Each theme will center around increasing awareness of sustainability and environmental practices.
As a global event, the Superyacht Summit aims to stimulate discussions around ongoing developments and industry improvements for the superyacht industry, promoting economic growth and regional initiatives. Harnessing the global expertise of sponsors, delegates, and speakers from marine operators, superyacht builders, and government offices to empower the yachting and tourism industries.
