By the Numbers
Dolcevita is a classic, modern production yacht engaging the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, the Strategic Product Committee headed by Piero Ferrari, and Officina Italiana Design led by Mauro
Micheli and Sergio Beretta. Graceful exterior lines sweep fore to aft with expansive glazing, the magic of which lies in the magnificent views on board.
First launched in La Spezia in March of 2018 and premiering at the Monaco Yacht Show that same year, this Riva Dolcevita fiberglass flagship stretches to a 33.53m/110.0 ft LOA, balanced by a 7.27m/23’10“ beam. She comes equipped with two MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines with inline transmission, mounted flat in an immaculate, white engine room with 2.11m/6’10” headroom.
The straight drive shafts propel her to a cruise speed of 23 knots, topping out at just over 26. She has a range of about 430 nm at her 23-knot cruising speed, and 1600 nm at 10 knots. She carries 15,300L/4042 US gal of fuel and 3,000L/793 US gal of water, weighing in at 147 tons fully loaded.
Built mainly of GRP fiberglass, Dolcevita’s secret to expansive windows with just the slightest of interruptions lies in the hidden frame of four port-to-starboard and four lengthwise stainless steel supports, hidden by the carbon fiber overlay. With that innovation, the Dolcevita achieves a light, airy feel owing to the barely discernable narrow mullions that connect the hull to the superstructure.
Built to accommodate 11 guests in five staterooms, she has a full-beam master suite. Four VIP guest cabins around a central lobby are located on the lower deck, all with a generous 2.01m/6’7” of headroom. In the bow, the Dolcevita has crew quarters for five in three cabins with en suite heads.
The design features a plethora of innovative amenities: a hidden foredeck jacuzzi, a flooding tender garage, and both zero speed and underway stabilizers, with the option to add a Seakeeper. She easily carries up to a party of 20 invitees on board, perfect for a festive event or an exceptional dinner.
The Main Deck
Boarding the yacht from the stern beach club, guests can take the stair either to port or starboard, ascending the teak and polished steel treads with matching gleaming handrails. When the hatch door is opened, the beach club offers a generous platform for boarding from the water. The genius here is Ferretti’s patented design for a floodable garage that makes light work of launching the tender or personal watercraft. Beautifully matched teak decking on all areas, including the Williams tender, gives a preview of the level of exquisite style and quality that await.
Taking either of the matching port and starboard stairs up to the aft cockpit, guests are immediately offered luxurious seating around a large rectangular table with a crisply upholstered wrap-around bench sofa. A polished steel and teak floating stair to starboard lead to the upper deck. A walkway to port takes a path to the port corridor, day head, stair to the lower lobby, and entry to the master wardrobe.
Brilliant brightwork and luminous silver built-ins are a beautiful complement to the grey and cloud white color palette, setting a chic, understated tone that continues to surprise and delight with its attention to detail.
