Using a demonstrated technical platform and enhancing it further with fully customized interiors has proven to be a winning formula for Damen Yachting. More than 40 limited edition Amels have been completed since 2005, and the latest inception of Amels 24207 features exterior design by Tim Heywood and is the 7th yacht of the series. Long decks and streamlined flowing lines hints at an almost feminine appearance, however, the gentle outer curves conceal a strong and athletic dynamism.
Even as build slots and delivery times becoming increasingly challenging, 74 meter yacht incorporates a number of unique customizations and will be delivered to the new owner within just 18 months of the projects commencement. With Damens versatile approach to yacht building the internal finishing touches, colors, and materials, can be selected by the owners own design team and for Amels 24207 the interior concept is provided by Winch Designs.
The emergence of the latest Amels 242 from the Netherlands yard heralds the start of the latest and final build phase which will precede her delivery, scheduled in just a few months, in time for the summer season.
“Seeing Amels 24207 head out of the shed, into the daylight and onto the water for the first time is a proud moment for the entire team at Damen Yachting.” - Peter Dijkwel, Project Manager Damen Yachting.
Amels 242 can accommodate 12 guests in her 6 cabins and a total of 19 crew and those aboard can enjoy the award-winning beach clubs and folding swim platform, a sauna, and an ample selection of gathering or relaxation spaces.
Throughout the build, the owner’s interests have been represented by Imperial and customizations such as a dedicated Owner’s deck and an increased capacity helicopter deck have been included. There is a generous foredeck Jacuzzi and in consideration of the environmental impact, the latest IMO Tier III has been incorporated to support clean emissions power and propulsion.
