On January 26th, the Benetti Shipyard in Livorno, Italy, released the FB283, a 62-meter Full Custom Yacht. This steel-hulled and aluminum-superstructure vessel was designed precisely to fulfill the customer’s specifications. Developed by renowned Naval Architect Giorgio Cassetta – including van Oossanen naval Architects’ hull lines – this yacht reflects exemplary craftsmanship and fine details.
FB283, the latest 62-meter vessel from Benetti, debuted with a special private event. This entire custom yacht was built to meet four specific desires of its owner: speed, silence, extended range, and unparalleled fun for their family. With features customized to match the customer’s exact requirements -- like a well-fitted suit! -- this yacht certainly met its goals. The entire project was overseen by Nicola Nicolai from Nicolai Yacht Consulting & Project Management, who served as an advisor before purchase and the Owner’s representative throughout construction. This is another successful partnership between Benetti, their design team, and the customer!
FB283 presents graceful exterior lines and dynamic performance for luxury yachting. The FDHF fast displacement hull, designed in collaboration between Benetti and Van Oossanen Naval Architects, optimizes speed, area, and range so you can travel worry-free without any stops. Moreover, Cassetta and his Rome-based studio created beautiful harmony by purifying unnecessary elements. When looking at FB283 from any angle, the smoothly continuous surfaces shine with sophistication as a mesmerizing work of art.
FB283 has been designed and built with comfort, family life, and conviviality front of mind. Its distinct aesthetic gives it a superyacht feel typically only found on much larger vessels. Cassetta was awarded the dual responsibility of exterior and interior design, meaning there’s continuity between the two--for instance, the 6x2 meter uninterrupted windows are located both on the main and upper decks. There’s also plenty of storage for water toys and equipment, including a 10-meter tender, two jet skis, diving gear--and even a touch & go helicopter platform, should you need it! All this ensures your time aboard FB283 is spent with maximum pleasure and enjoyment.
