Nautor Swan, a name synonymous with luxury yacht craftsmanship and high-performance sailing, has done it again. Today, at the Boatbuilding Technology Centre, also known as the House of Swan in Pietarsaari, the revered Finnish boat maker debuted its first-ever Swan 108. This magnificent vessel ushers in a new generation of Maxi Swan, showcasing a remarkable collaboration among industry stalwarts - German Frers for Naval Architecture, Misa Poggi for Interior Design, and Lucio Micheletti of Micheletti + Partners for exterior styling.
Constructed with a full carbon hull and deck using cutting-edge epoxy Sprint technology and carbon molds, this sailing yacht embodies both beauty and resilience. The Swan 108 is destined for registration under the Rina charter classification, underpinning its high standards and unrivaled quality.
The Swan 108 introduces several pioneering features, most notably the dual-acting transom door. This robust, innovative mechanism propels the yacht's design into uncharted waters. With the stern and a section of the aft deck opening out, it effectively transforms into a big beach club, extending the space without compromising on the interior volume.
Further enhancing the exterior design, the cockpit coamings broaden in the aft section, creating an optimal position for the steering stations whilst maintaining helm protection. The expansive main companionway bathes the interior in abundant natural light, an eloquent testament to the genius of the designers.
Nautor's CEO, Giovanni Pomati, likens the Swan 108 project to "drawing a beautiful painting." The result is a unique product that weaves together the individual talents and expertise of each contributing designer, a testament to the company's intense talent sourcing.
The Swan 108 is not just another yacht. It faithfully embodies Nautor Swan's philosophy, perfectly melding the company's rich heritage with a truly contemporary style. This vessel promises to set a new benchmark in the Maxi range.
The BTC is witnessing an extraordinary lineup of constructions, including the Swan 88, the second hull of Swan 108, and the awe-inspiring Swan 128.
But the stage is set for the Swan 108 to make a grand entrance. The world will witness its official début at the Monaco Yacht Show, taking place from September 27th to 30th. Nautor’s team is gearing up to showcase this unparalleled creation to attendees.
