A Bold Finale to the 80-Meter Superyacht Trilogy
Bilgin Yachts has officially revealed Al Reem, the third and final installment of its acclaimed 80-meter superyacht trilogy, marking a significant milestone for the Turkish shipyard. Launched at the close of 2024, Al Reem stands as a culmination of innovation, craftsmanship, and luxury, building on the legacies of her predecessors, Tatiana and Leona.
A Distinctive Design Philosophy
Al Reem boasts an imposing profile shaped by Unique Yacht Design, led by Emrecan Özgün. With a gross tonnage of 1,758 GT—nearly 100 GT more than the inaugural Tatiana—the yacht's redesign features a voluminous structure that enhances functionality and aesthetics. A foredeck crafted from teak, a larger mast finished in metallic gray, and a sleek combination of metallic gray, white, and black define her striking exterior.
The extended aft decks add 20% more outdoor living space, further emphasizing relaxation and entertainment. The forward-facing owner’s suite, a hallmark feature, offers 300-degree panoramic views, seamless access to an outdoor terrace, and a jacuzzi, creating an unparalleled connection to nature.
“Each of the three sisterships is distinct,” said Özgün. “We tailored Al Reem’s layout and design to deliver a sleek and luxurious experience while maintaining a connection to nature.”
Innovative Interiors by H2 Yacht Design
For the interiors, Bilgin Yachts partnered with H2 Yacht Design to craft a serene yet sophisticated environment. Under Jonny Horsfield’s direction, the design incorporates a light, neutral palette that fosters calmness. Matt timber finishes complement polished stainless-steel details, creating a harmonious balance of warmth and modernity.
Cream leather-upholstered wall panels, unique veined marbles, and decorative glass elements enhance the yacht's opulent ambiance. A combination of wood and silk carpets completes the interior, providing a tactile sense of luxury.
“Our goal was to design an oasis of calm and relaxation,” said Horsfield. “The materials and layout reflect the owner’s vision for a sanctuary that fosters a connection to nature while offering modern luxury.”
The Collaborative Spirit Behind the Build
The construction of Al Reem highlights the collaborative efforts between Bilgin Yachts, Bluewater International, and the yacht’s owner. Marino Perkusic, representing the owner, emphasized the seamless integration of the owner’s vision into every aspect of the yacht’s design and functionality.
“The role of Bluewater’s management team was crucial,” said Perkusic. “Bilgin’s proactive and flexible approach ensured that every detail exceeded expectations, transforming the owner’s vision into reality.”
The owner’s intent for Al Reem as a personal vessel guided the design of multifunctional spaces that prioritize relaxation and social interaction. With spacious lounging areas and expansive outdoor decks, the yacht is designed for serene escapes to secluded locations worldwide.
A Milestone for Bilgin Yachts
Bilgin Yachts’ Commercial Director, Berkay Yılmaz, praised the achievement as a testament to the shipyard’s continued leadership in the luxury yacht industry. With 12 projects currently under construction, the launch of Al Reem underscores Bilgin’s commitment to innovation and quality.
“Al Reem stands out with her dynamic and elegant exterior,” said Yılmaz. “She exemplifies Bilgin’s ability to deliver bold designs and exceptional craftsmanship.”
