Superyacht project Signature

Yacht builders Amels and Damen Yachting have unveiled plans for what will be the largest ever superyacht built in the Netherlands.

The 120m Project Signature is the creation of award-winning designer Espen Øino.

Imperial, the Monaco-based representative of the owner, will supervise the yacht building process.

Imperial director, Julia Stewart, said: "This day is a special one for Imperial - we confirm our leadership in the 100m+ superyachts new construction range. With this dream team at the helm, Project Signature will be the most striking, silent and advanced superyacht ever delivered and we look forward to commence."

Sea Eagle II takes to the sea

The world's largest aluminum sailing yacht, the schooner Sea Eagle II has undergone a series of successful sea trials before being delivered to her owner.

She has also entered the top 10 of the world's largest sailing yachts.

The impressive three-masted schooner has been built by Royal Huisman in the Netherlands and the stylish interior was designed by Mark Whiteley Design while the exterior was created by Dykstra Naval Architects.

She was launched in Amsterdam and it's here that her three carbon Rondal masts and booms were installed but the Covid-19 restrictions prevented the finishing touch trials in the North Sea from being completed.

The 107-meter Lana has been delivered

The 107-meter giga-yacht Lana has now been handed over to her owner by the builders, Benetti.

She is one of the largest yachts ever built by the Italian shipyard and will now join the Imperial charter fleet.

The final touches to the luxurious and impressive creation took place over the winter and included new features specified by the client who wanted two state-of-the-art Kongsberg wing stations.

The yard also points out that her complex equipment had to undergo an ‘extraordinary and rigorous’ amount of commissioning and testing before final delivery.

Geco megayacht launched

The new 55-meter megayacht Geco has been launched by Admiral Fleet with the aim of offering a luxurious and fun option in the world of luxury yacht charters.

The flagship arm of the Italian Sea Group - one of the yachting world's largest operations – is renowned for the refit and construction of ships and motor yachts of up to 100 meters.

M/Y Geco has been designed by the firm's art director Gian Marco Campanino who has conjured up an impressive, modern, and sleek creation from the striking style of her bow to the revolutionary design of the stern.

There is also, a first for this type of yacht, a beach club hosted at the stern with glass walls to deliver protection from the wind and elements while giving the owner and their guests a large sunbathing platform.

Riva 88' Yacht Folgore Launched

The futuristic-looking Riva 88' Folgore is the first boat launched by the yard this year.

The 26.8-meter yacht was unveiled in La Spezia, Italy, and the Ferretti Group's chief executive, Alberto Galassi, said: "She looks like a vessel just back from a journey into the future: she is a dazzling flash of style, she is strength, she is performance, she is innovation."

He added that the launch of the Riva 88' Folgore represents a renaissance for the Ferretti Group - and she reflects the essence of 'being made in Italy' and of a 'tangible sign of a country' that is starting again

Bilgin 80m TATIANA Superyacht

The 80-meter superyacht Tatiana has been described as a 'one-of-a-kind' by her builder, and she is also the largest yacht launched so far by Turkish yard Bilgin Yachts.

A private launch ceremony has taken place at the yacht builder's facility in West Istanbul Marina with a fitting out taking place for delivery this summer.

The yacht-builder says that the first of its Bilgin 263 series is a key milestone as it strives to become one of the world's most prominent brands for building superyachts.

Bilgin is currently building three yachts in the 263 series with the next two launches scheduled for 2021 and 2023.

Heesen Superyacht Project Triton

The impressive 50-meter Project Triton superyacht created by the Heesen yard has been launched.

She is the second yacht built in the Steel Class by the Dutch boatbuilder and has undergone five days of sea trials in the North Sea.

The firm describes Project Triton as a 'true blue water' motor yacht, and she has a traditional full-displacement steel hull that has been designed and engineered by the experts at Heesen - and built to the highest possible standards.

Benetti Superyahct FB273

The Benetti shipyard has launched its elegant 70-meter custom build yacht, the FB 273.

Launched in the Italian city of Livorno, the steel hull and aluminum superstructure extends across six decks with a futuristic stern featuring two side doors and - in what is a first installation for Benetti - a swimming pool with variable geometry that sees the pool's depth varying for children and adults.

The pool is an integral part of the yacht's main deck, and when fully raised, it will, along with the beach club, open out over the sea with two side terraces.

There is also a vertical bow with a 'touch-and-go' helicopter landing pad, and the sky deck features a Jacuzzi.

Rossinavi Shipyards launched Superyacht LEL.

The impressive motor yacht Lel has been launched after spending two years under construction with the Italian boatbuilder Rossinavi.

She is 50 meters in length and has been developed by the chairman of Yacht Moments, Kurt Lehmannwith, with her design and architecture being created by Florence-based Luca Dini for an American owner.

The boatbuilder says the motor yacht offers the perfect balance between a traditional Italian yacht design with sporty lines.

Amels shipyard launched a new unit of the Amels 60 line

The first of several superyacht launches by the Dutch yard AMELS has taken place with the unveiling of the 62.5 meters AMELS 206.

The striking motor yacht comes from the boatbuilder's Limited Editions range and is going to be the first of three new-build deliveries being handed over to owners before the summer season begins.

Fraser Gow was in charge of the yacht's build and he said: "It's a wonderful build milestone seeing her outside and everyone's done an exceptional job, particularly on the finish which can be appreciated now she's outside.

The long hull windows and the elegant details including the striking vertical bow which adds to the sophistication of the impressive grey hull.

The exterior design work is by Studio De Voogt to create a stylish yacht that is also exceptionally quiet for those onboard.

Heesen Shipyard Superyacht LEL

A second impressive hybrid yacht has been launched by Dutch boatbuilder Heesen in the 5000 aluminum FDHF class.

With a distinct exterior styling and shallow draft, she uses an efficient diesel and a diesel-electric propulsion system.

The yacht, known as Project Electra, is the sistership to the award-winning superyacht Home.

Project Electra is a 50 meters creation that was built at the firm's shipyard in Oss. Frank Laupman of Omega Architects created the distinctive profile with extensive use of glass to help characterize her exterior lines along with a long waterline and near-vertical bow.

Baglietto Superyacht Severin

A stunning 55-meter superyacht has been unveiled by the famous Italian shipbuilder Baglietto, called the Severin°s.

The boatyard has 160 years of history in developing and building luxury superyachts with a special celebration with the Severin°s' owner, their guests, and the team behind the build.

The chief executive of Baglietto, Michele Gavino said: "The unveiling of a new yacht is always an extraordinary moment in a shipyard's life. Not only did we welcome a beautiful yacht, the biggest ever built by Baglietto in its recent history, it is a special moment focused on the yacht, her owner -and all the people that made this dream a reality."

Benetti Superyacht Bacchanal

The latest superyacht from Italian yard Benetti has been launched in the shape of the 47-meter Bacchanal.

The Mexican owner has previously owned a Benetti classic superyacht. The steel hull and aluminum structure of the Bacchanal, formerly known as FB703, has elegant, understated exterior lines from the yard's designers. 

The interior has been designed by the firm alongside Mauricio Gómez de Tuddo, who was selected by the owner.

Feadship Superyacht Arrow

She has been hailed as 'quite possibly the best we have ever completed' by the builders of the impressive Arrow.

The 75-meter superyacht, built by Feadship, has been named officially at a ceremony attended by her owner.

Along with guests of the owner, many of the shipbuilder's employees were also in attendance to see the yacht, known previously as Project 703, being dramatically lit with multicoloured lights.
